What is a disconnection notice?

Just Energy sends a Disconnection Notice when payment has not been received within three days from the bill due date.  The Disconnection Notice gives two dates.  “Amount Due by” date is the date we must receive payment by to avoid disconnection.  The “Disconnect Date” is the date we will disconnect services if payment was not received by the “Amount Due by” date.

The “Amount Due” on the notice is the total of all previously unpaid invoiced balances.  A notice fee and any incurred late fees will be applied to the next bill.

If you have paid your “Amount Due” balance or set-up a payment arrangement on or before the “Amount Due by” date, there will not be a disconnection of services.  For customer who have set-up a payment arrangement and not paid their agreed upon installment balance on an installment date, services will be disconnected one day after the installment is due.  Customers can pay their “Amount Due” or set up a payment arrangement through our automated payment system by calling 1-866-587-8674.
